Moon Reflection

The story behind the symbol

In the Japanese screens Uji Bridge and Willows, a silver moon lights a gold-leaf bridge. The Smithsonian notes that the river at Uji, near Kyoto, was cherished as a poetic place for moon reflections.

Original Oralumia reflection

A reflection depends on where you stand. One event can contain what happened, what you felt and what you assumed. Giving each its own space may help you notice more before deciding what the experience means.

A question to sit with

What are you observing, and what meaning have you added to it?

One small action

Take three minutes to write one observation and one interpretation on separate lines. Let both remain without solving them.

The reflection, question and action are original Oralumia writing. Cultural sources provide context, rather than personal advice.
